What is a chin augmentation?
Chin augmentation is a surgical procedure that reshapes and defines your chin, often with an implant. Patients who have dealt with a weak or recessed chin or jaw can find a stronger, more balanced look.

What are the benefits of chin augmentation?
Having a chin augmentation gives you the ability to build the strong, more balanced face you’ve dreamed of when looking in the mirror. Patients who are suffering from a weak, recessed, or “double” chin can discover a better version of themselves with a more defined jawline. This results not only in a more symmetrical, beautiful face but a natural boost in confidence as well. Don’t let your chin’s shape make you feel self-conscious or keep you from living life to the fullest extent possible.

What is recovery like from chin augmentation?
The recovery process is fairly easy, fortunately! Your surgeon will give you specific instructions to follow so there’s no guesswork involved, but here a bit of what to expect. You’ll need to rest for about 7 days before resuming your normal activities like desk work. After your procedure, you’ll need to sleep face-up ensuring your head is elevated for anywhere from 1-2 weeks. In most cases, patients can get back to more intensive activities like working out in 3-4 weeks.
Am I a candidate for chin augmentation?
Most patients who aren’t happy with their chin or jaw shape are excellent candidates for chin augmentation. When you meet with Dr. Lewis for a consultation, he’ll walk through the procedure with you and help determine if it’s right for you.
