Increasing the amount of collagen in your skin helps to reduce wrinkles. Radiesse® is formulated with microspheres that are clinically proven to increase the amount of collagen in your skin. Texas Dermatology offers Radiesse® for men and women in San Antonio, Kenedy, New Braunfels, and other areas of Texas.
What is Radiesse®?
Radiesse® is a dermal filler that contains microspheres that are suspended in a gel. The gel immediately lifts the skin to provide some amount of wrinkle reduction. The microspheres trigger collagen production in the body, which provides long-lasting anti-aging benefits.
How Much Does Radiesse® Cost?
After your consultation with Dr. Browning or one of our other dermatologists, we will provide a cost based on the treatment plan that is developed during the appointment. If you would like to make payments for your Radiesse® injections and other services at Texas Dermatology, we offer financing options through CareCredit®.
What Are the Benefits of Radiesse®?
- No surgery required, so you will not have scars
- Gradually improves wrinkles
- Stimulates natural collagen production
- Long-lasting results
- No downtime or aftercare required
Am I a Candidate for Radiesse®?
Radiesse® is recommended for the treatment of facial wrinkles, as well as aged hands. The areas of the face that can be treated are:
- Outer edges of the lips
- Marionette lines
- Nasolabial folds
- Wrinkles along the chin
- Lines along the jowls
How is Radiesse® Performed?
Radiesse® is delivered to our office pre-loaded in sterile syringes that have thin needles. We use new syringes for each patient. The gel is deposited at a specific depth in the skin to maximize the benefits. Several injection sites are used along the wrinkle to create an even and natural improvement. If you are uncomfortable with injections, we can use a medication to numb your skin before the procedure.
What is the Recovery Like After Radiesse®?
No downtime is needed after your Radiesse® injections. If you have localized swelling or tenderness around each injection site, you can gently apply a cold compress. Avoid rubbing or massaging the area, as this may shift the gel and degrade the results.
How Long Do Radiesse® Results Last?
In clinical studies, Radiesse® provided up to 12 months of anti-aging benefits. This does vary by patient based on how quickly the body breaks down the new collagen. We recommend that you schedule follow-up treatments every nine months.
